A thousand schoolchildren gather at Aylesford for Jubilee celebrations
Festival of Hope at Aylesford: A Joyful Celebration of the Jubilee Year

On a beautiful day at Aylesford, over 1,200 people attended the Festival of Hope, organised by the Education Service, for a truly special celebration as part of the Pilgrims of Hope Jubilee year.
The festival brought together schools, families, and parish communities from across the region in a spirit of joy, unity, and faith. With music, prayer, activities, and reflection, the day was filled with moments that lifted our hearts and reminded us of the hope we share as people of God.
Children from schools across the Archdiocese, shared their love of Jesus Christ. Children were asked one question: "why do you love Jesus" and their responses were beautiful.
Highlights included wonderful performances by school bands, creative workshops, and times of prayer at this sacred site. The enthusiasm and generosity of all who attended — especially the young people who contributed their time and talents — helped make the festival a day to remember.
The Education Service hopes that everyone who took part will carry the memory of the Festival of Hope with them throughout this Jubilee year. Thank you to all who made it possible, and we look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate together in faith and hope.
