Celebrating Vocation with gratitude

During the month of May Southwark has celebrated many of the vocations to which God calls us. Archbishop Kevin has offered Masses of Thanksgiving in the Cathedral

- with our married couples (on 13th May)
        Photos of the reception

- with our new Catholics, baptised or received into the Church at  the Easter Vigil (20th May)
Report of the Mass for new Catholics

- with our priests and permanent deacon who are marking significant anniversaries of their ordinations (23rd May).

Our permanent deacons will renew their diaconal commitment on 10th June when the Archbishop will ordain five new deacons. From 2007, their annual Mass of Thanksgiving will be offered on a Saturday close to 2nd May, the date of the Archbishop’s episcopal ordination.

Please pray with Archbishop Kevin that all in the Southwark diocese will be increasingly sensitive to God’s call, and that this will lead to an increase of vocations to the priesthood, the diaconate and the religious life.
