COME HOME Preaching Webinar for Clergy
Many Catholics have explored new ways to engage with their faith during the pandemic, but have also experienced a sense of 'homesickness'; that is, longing to receive the Eucharist in person and to be part of their parish community.
This Advent and Christmas, the Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis in the Archdiocese of Southwark is running a new initiative called 'COME HOME', to welcome people to Church, whether they have been away throughout the pandemic or longer, or perhaps have never been to Church at all. As part of this initiative, the Archdiocese will be sending booklets and other resources to every parish entitled The Ultimate Relationship. Written by Catholic Christian Outreach (CCO), The Ultimate Relationship booklet is an evangelistic tool that presents the Gospel simply, which provides an opportunity to respond to Jesus' invitation to a personal relationship.
Preaching Webinar for Clergy
To accompany the handing out of the Ultimate Relationship booklet in parishes, the Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis are offering a webinar on preaching to Clergy.
Fr John Park, Vicar of Evangelisation for the Diocese of Phoenix, USA, will be sharing on the themes of kerygma, relationship and conversion, which are all contained in the booklet and will hopefully support preaching over the Christmas Masses.
The webinar will take place online on Thursday 9th December 5:45-7:00pm.
