Mass of the Nativity of the Lord at St George's Cathedral
Archbishop John Wilson will celebrate Mass of the Nativity of the Lord at midnight on Christmas Eve in St George's Cathedral, Southwark. He will be joined on the sanctuary by the Cathedral Clergy and Choir.
The Mass will be preceded at 11.30 pm with Christmas Carols, which all are welcome to join in singing.
Nothing can replace being present at Mass, and the Archdiocese hopes most parishioners will attend in person at their own parish. The BBC will not be broadcasting Mass from a Catholic Cathedral on television this year (but will broadcast on BBC Radio 4). For those unable to be present in person, St George's Cathedral will be live-streaming this Christmas Mass. Please do share this opportunity with those who may struggle to get out through age, infirmity, or for whatever reason.
The service will also be available to watch afterward on a catch-up basis via the 'Live' navigation tab on the RC Southwark YouTube Channel.
All are warmly invited to join Archbishop John to celebrate the joyous arrival of the newborn Messiah at Christmas.
