Remembrance Sunday 2022

St George's Cathedral

On Sunday 13th November 2022 we are collectively called to remember those who have given their lives in war, and to pray for all who suffer bereavement or disability due to conflict.

St George's Cathedral will hold an Act of Remembrance in front of the Cathedral at 10.50 am, with a silence at 11 am. A Solemn Sung Requiem Mass will follow at 12 noon.

Many other parishes will be marking this important day of remembrance: please check your local parish newsletter for details as some Mass times may be affected.

All are invited to pray for those who have lost their lives, and for those whose lives continue to be affected because of war on this day.

The Exhortation

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning,
We will remember them."

by Robert Laurence Binyon from "For the Fallen"
