St George's Cathedral Junior Choir Open Day
As St George's Cathedral Choir continues to grow, their Director, Jonathan Schranz, is pleased to hold a special Open Day for the Junior Choir.
The Open Day will take place on Saturday 9th April 2022 between 10.30 am - 3.30 pm in St George's Cathedral, and is aimed at children aged from 7 - 11 years (school years 2 - 6).
The Junior Choir generally rehearses on Thursdays between 4 - 5 pm and they sing once each month in the Cathedral.
At this early stage, the choir members are taught good vocal technique and simple one and two-part repertoire. No previous musical experience is required to join, only a love of singing. Junior Choir members who make good progress may then be invited to audition for the Cathedral Choir in due course.
