St George's Day Celebrations (transferred)
As 23rd April this year fell within the Easter Octave, the celebrations of St George’s Day have been transferred to the Tuesday of the following week.
Celebrations will begin with Solemn First Vespers (sung) of the Feast of St George at 6 pm on Monday 25 April.
In addition to the usual 7.30 am and 12.30 pm Masses, Solemn Mass (sung) will be sung at 6 pm on Tuesday 26 April which will be celebrated by Archbishop John Wilson with the Cathedral’s Chapter of Canons.
This Mass will be followed by veneration of the Cathedral’s relic of St George. All are welcome.
