Vigil Mass and Investiture Service: Equestrian Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem
The Equestrian Order of the Knights of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem will be hosting two Masses in St George's Cathedral on 25th and 26th November 2021.
Archbishop John Wilson KC*HS, Grand Prior of England and Wakes, will celebrate a Solemn Vigil Mass on Friday 25th November 2022 at 6 pm in St George's Cathedral, Southwark. This service takes place ahead of Investiture and Holy Mass at 10 am on Saturday 26th November, which will be celebrated by HE Cardinal Fernando Filoni, Grand Master.
The Order dates back to the first crusades, when the the tradition of ceremonially appointing Knights at the Holy Sepulchre developed under the approval of the Pope. Today, the Knights and Dames hold a collective endeavour to support the Church and Christian people across the Latin Patriarchate of Jerusalem. including Cyprus, Jordan and the Holy Land.
