Would you like to raise some of the largest gifts of your fundraising career while helping an iconic London landmark to achieve its full potential?

Westminster Cathedral is looking for the right person to build on the success of our work with major donors, trusts and foundations and legacy promotion. The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for leading the Cathedral fundraising team in delivering a donor-centric programme that aligns with the Cathedral’s mission, to ensure fundraising targets are met; relationships with existing supporters are nurtured and new donors and funders are engaged with and stewarded effectively.

You will be responsible for funding a rich portfolio of projects, from fundraising for the newly established Choral Foundation, to raising funds for the Cathedral’s archive, mosaics, capital repairs and general running costs, as well as overseeing the Cathedral’s successful legacy programme.

This is a hugely varied role that offers an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make his or her mark on an internationally-renowned and much-loved heritage building, by helping set it further along the path to fundraising success.

The role will involve complex relationship management to ensure the highest level of stewardship for our three key strategic funders – major donors, legacy pledgers and grant funders.

Key Requirements:

  • Significant fundraising experience in a small to medium sized charity.
  • Experience of asking for and securing 5 and 6 figure gifts.
  • A proven track record in helping to achieve fundraising targets.
  • Ability to work effectively with and empower people who may have little experience of fundraising.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

The Cathedral is also known for hosting concerts and services of different kinds.
