Caritas Southwark focuses on identifying young people in our parish communities and schools, who are vulnerable and could be led to knife crime, gangs, drugs and similar activities that put their welfare and future at risk.

CS facilitates mentoring, the acquisition of skills and recreational facilities for young people. These are identified through the Southwark Education Commission, Southwark Catholic Youth Services, the Boroughs and Police, as well as existing Children's Societies and local initiatives, for example, through parish outreach.

In a recent survey carried out in the diocese, Caritas Southwark has been able to identify similar initiatives which help in diverting young people from crime. CS partners with different organisations to enhance such initiatives in schools and parishes.
