Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem: Vigil Prayer Service
Archbishop Wilson will lead a Prayer Service on the vigil of the Mass of Investiture for the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulchre of Jerusalem.
The service will take place at 7 pm in St George's Cathedral on 21st June 2024, during which those gathered will pray for the Church, the Order and particularly for those who will formally join at the Investiture Mass on Saturday 22nd June 2024.
During the Vigil, the robes of new members will be blessed, they will offer a pledge, and symbols will be presented, such as the spurs and the sword, which respectively represent the care that investees should have for the things of God, spurring one on to acts of Christian charity, and the pursuit of truth and peace in justice.
All are welcome to attend in person or online. Guest are asked to be seated by 6.30 pm in St George's Cathedral.
