Solemnity of the Dedication of St George and Installation of Canon Michael Branch
The Solemnity of the Dedication of St George’s commemorates the original consecration of the Cathedral in 1894, and is an opportunity for all to gather for the Mother-Church of the Diocese and give thanks to God for this house of prayer.
In addition to the usual weekday Masses, there will be an additional Solemn Mass at 6 pm on Tuesday 7 November, during which the Dean of St George's will formally be installed as a Canon of the Metropolitan Chapter of St George, on the Feast of the Dedication of St George's Cathedral.
