Advent and Christmas at St George's Cathedral 2023
Celebrate the seasons of Advent and Christmas at St George's Cathedral with a schedule of special Masses and Services. A full listing is available to download below.
The season begins with the First Sunday of Advent, on 3 December, when the first candle is lit on the Cathedral Wreath.
On Saturday 16 December from 10.15 am to 5.15 pm the Cathedral will be holding ‘A Day with Mary’, which will include Mass, Adoration, confessions, devotions and sermons.
The delightful annual Children's Crib Service will take place at 3.30 pm on Christmas Eve, Sunday 24 December. If you are a parishioner, please do bring your child dressed as a king, shepherd, or an angel.
Finally, join Archbishop Wilson and the Cathedral for Midnight Mass on Christmas Eve to celebrate the Nativity of the Lord. There are also a number of additional Masses and services on this, and Christmas Day, including a Family Mass. Details can also be found below for services during the Octave of Christmas, and up to Epiphany.
