Following consultation with the Provost of the Chapter of Canons, Canon James Cronin, Archbishop John Wilson has appointed the Dean of St George’s Cathedral, Fr Michael Branch as a Canon of the Cathedral Chapter. Canon Michael will serve also as a member of the Archbishop's College of Consultors.
Canon Michael has most recently been involved in establishing a Community Fridge at St George's Cathedral and helping to lead a pilgrimage to the Shrine of Walsingham alongside Bishop Philip Moger. We wish Canon Branch many congratulations and ask the faithful to support him in prayer as he assumes these new responsibilities.

Day for Life 2023
The Day for Life, which takes place on Sunday 18th June 2023, is dedicated to raising awareness about the meaning and value of human life at every stage and in every condition, This year the Day highlights the trauma caused by abortion, with the theme “Listen to Her”. The associated message is an invitation to listen to the voice and story of a young Catholic woman who, after suffering the trauma of an abortion, found healing.
