Free Workshops with The Catechetical Institute
Southwark parishes can now access free workshops from the Catechetical Institute.
Parishioners in Southwark can now access free workshops from the Catechetical Institute, thanks to donors from the Archbishop's Appeal and a partnership between the Agency for Evangelisation and Catechesis and the Franciscan University.
Each of the archdiocese's 175 parishes now feature on the Franciscan at Home platform (https://franciscanathome.com/southwark). Each parishioner, as well as teachers and parents in our schools, are invited to create their personal account to access the workshops.
This means every parishioner, catechist, parent and teacher in our schools and parishes will now have access to over 120 high-quality workshops.
The process is relatively simple; we have a short video on the Agency page (https://aec.rcaos.org.uk/franciscan) to guide people through, but it essentially boils down to three steps:
- Go to https://franciscanathome.com/southwark and click on the second blue button 'My parish is already registered...'
- Click on the green button 'Create new account' and complete the form (red asterisks denote mandatory fields)
- Select your parish from the dropdown menu.
This offering is free to everyone for the next year up until 30 September 2025. The Agency website also includes some helpful tips on how small groups can use the materials and workshops for adult formation in the parish (https://aec.rcaos.org.uk/franciscan).
