The Mass for the Celebration of Consecrated Life was celebrated by Archbishop John Wilson and Bishop Gerard Bradley, with Bishop Gerard preaching.

In his homily, Bishop Gerard reflected on the importance of consecrated life as a witness to young people seeking their path to discipleship. He said:

"Young people need the example of our faithful living to draw them in to the discipleship and relationship with Jesus Christ, that this gospel speaks for us”.

Bishop Gerard concluded with a powerful call to continued faithfulness and gratitude for God's call:

"There's never a time when we can stop meditating on the continuous call that the Lord offers to us every single day that you've already embarked on. There's never a time to stop encouraging one another in your lives of love, and there's never a time to stop thanking God for his call to you. Praise be Jesus Christ”.

Celebrating Consecrated Life in our Archdiocese, Archbishop John said “thanks be to God” for the “faithfulness and witness” of our religious sisters, brothers and priests.

Please pray for all those who have heard God’s call in our Archdiocese and responded with faithful obedience.
