Safeguarding Office Administrator The Archdiocese Safeguarding Team is a hardworking team, dedicated to supporting the Archdiocese in their commitment to keeping everyone safe, particularly those most vulnerable, children and adults at risk. The team requires an industrious and dedicated Office Administrator who is passionate about safeguarding and wishes to work in a fast-paced environment and support the team in continuing to embed safeguarding across Parishes and communities.
Based in St Gabriel’s House, SE1 and reporting to the Head of Safeguarding, this job will be responsible for the administration of the safeguarding function, the maintenance of relevant databases and assist in the inputting and support of the DBS Disclosure application processes. The job holder will also support the recruitment and training of Parish Safeguarding representatives and administer other training events and safeguarding activities.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated commitment to Safeguarding of Children and Adults at Risk through previous experience in a safeguarding role, with strong organisational and administration skills. They will also have outstanding Word, Excel and database skills. Previous experience in administration of training and/or delivery would also be desired. A strong work ethic and willingness to ‘muck in’ is essential.
This is a full-time role 9 am - 5 pm (1 hour for lunch) Monday to Friday. Occasional weekend or evening work may also be required for which time off in lieu will be offered. The starting salary is £23,000 - £26000 per annum depending on skills and experience.
