Once you have been accepted by the Archbishop as a candidate for the priesthood or diaconate, a significant period of study is required: normally five or six years.

Although some seminarians may study at the English College and those entering into a vocation in later life may attend the Beda College (both in Rome) the majority of men in Southwark commenced attend Allen Hall Seminary in Chelsea (Westminster Diocese) from September 2021.
